Ingredients:
16 oz. jar Salsa (2.39)
2 ½ Cups water (free)
½ Tbsp Cumin (???pennies)
1 box Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese Dinner (bought during a B1G1 sale with coupon $.50)
1 Can Corn drained ($.50)
1 ½- 2 Cups Black Beans cooked (from large batch of dry beans I cooked earlier $.50)
½ Cup Sour Cream ($.25)
2 ½ Cups water (free)

1 ½- 2 Cups Black Beans cooked (from large batch of dry beans I cooked earlier $.50)
½ Cup Sour Cream ($.25)
Directions:
1. In Large pot combine salsa, water, cumin, and noodles. Bring to a boil. Then lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
2. Add corn, beans, and cheese and heat for about 5 minutes longer.
3. Remove from heat and add sour cream. Allow to cool and thicken slightly before serving.
Makes about 6+ large bowls.
This is my first attempt at the $5 dinner challenge. It isn't as healthy as many of the other meals, but it is what works for my family. I'm sure you could easily substitute homemade salsa and whole wheat noodles with cheese sauce and have great results, but honestly today I just needed something quick and easy. This actually turned out really yummy with lots of flavor.
